In her work at SMA, Nadia Porter, MSc, VMA, brings expert, graduate-level training in civil engineering as well as diverse project management and facilitation skills from around the world. She has provided leading edge services for major infrastructure projects, water resources engineering, transportation projects, and major capital construction projects. Her recent work with SMA includes project management and project control services for the $1.8B Edmonton Valley Line Project, and an intensive process improvement study with the City of Edmonton’s Drainage Design and Construction branch. Her work in heavy rail risk analyses was recently awarded the CEA 2016 Showcase Award for Special Studies. Nadia’s expertise and training in water resources engineering and sustainable development ensures that she is able to communicate complex engineering concepts with both accuracy and inclusiveness. With a diverse skill set in numerous stakeholder collaboration and facilitation approaches, Nadia excels at understanding stakeholder needs and translating them into practical applications.
