Dr. Jeffrey King has nearly twenty years’ experience working in a variety of communications, research, and presentation capacities, including industry liaison, instruction, and non-profit settings. He is an expert in written and oral communications, public speaking and presentation, research, and marketing. In addition to a Value Methodology Associate certificate from SAVE International, Jeff holds a Certificate in Public Participation from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2). Jeff has received a number of other academic honours, including the prestigious SSHRC J. Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Fellowship, the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Chancellor’s Entrance Scholarship (UWO).

Since joining SMA Consulting, Jeff has provided a wide range of communications, risk analysis, management support, facilitation, documentation, and analysis services on a number of projects in several areas, including transportation, drainage, wastewater management and treatment, and municipal asset management.

Jeff’s unique background in university teaching and in humanitarian contexts along with over a decade of experience providing communications and workshop facilitation support to civil engineering projects makes him well-equipped to listen to, understand, and communicate the diverse needs of project stakeholders – both of the owners and of those impacted.
