Steven Hackman has over a decade of experience in project management working with both general contractors and project owners on complex civil and industrial construction projects. He is one of SMA’s senior project managers and advisors and leads a team of experienced resources in delivering a wide range of tasks, including project management, process improvement, project controls and reporting, and Value Analysis (also known as Value Engineering).

Steven’s experience working with contractors, combined with his focus on essentials and a strategic perspective, equip him to bring valuable insight and attention to detail to every project. In addition to Steven’s primary focus on project management, he also has a depth of knowledge in complementary fields, such as construction methodologies and software development. He is an expert in project controls, scheduling, design support, procurement, and process development.

Leveraging his extensive understanding of the challenges facing projects, Steven has been instrumental in developing advanced tools at SMA for productivity tracking, Earned Value Analysis, improved data collection and analysis, and claims analysis.
